Tips from the Video:

• You can put together multiple different seed types in one ball, but it helps to have them all germinate at the same time.
• It helps to have the seeds be of about the same size.
• Three sisters seeds that don't germinate at the same time did not work well.
• Mix together: 1/3 compost, 1/3 clay, 1/3 seeds.
• When making a lot, have a big tarp (at least 4 feet by 4 feet). Spray water on it and roll the tarp back and forth, adding more water and soil until they roll into little balls. Then let them dry.
• When making it on a small scale, you can do it in a container, shaking as you add more dry mixture and more water in stages.
• You could even use a cement mixer in the same fashion!
• Take them out and let them dry.
• Great activity to do with kids!
• You can use any type of clay (pottery clay, a natural clay deposit)
• Flower mixes, nitrogen-fixing plants, veggie seeds, cover crop mixes. Just bare in mind the size and germination rate.
